(slash) welcome to slash paradise, a site devoted to slash, guitarist of guns n' roses, slash's snakepit, velvet revolver and with myles kennedy & the conspirators!!! featuring latest news, tour dates, equipment, guitars, amps, music, albums, songs, photos, videos, interviews, articles and more about slash. slash is back on the road with axl rose , duff mckagan and guns n' roses for not in this lifetime tour 2016-2018 with 157 shows in 42 countries... slash latest news tweets by slashparadise slash guest appearances slash is mostly known for his work with guns n' roses, slash's snakepit or velvet revolver. but over the years, his discography also included collaborations with many other artists. some of the greatest as lenny kravitz, michael jackson, bob dylan, iggy pop, alice cooper, ray charles or ronnie wood. but his discography reveals many more other collaborations and guest appearances with less popular musicians as ella, derek sherinian, tommy shaw, gina gershon, liel kolet, stephen wesley or lee ritenour. here is the complete official discography of his guest appearances made of 136 songs on 105 albums. slash's guitars slash is probably one of the most famous les paul players in rock. he has a huge collection of les pauls, but his best known and best loved is actually a 1959 replica built by kris derrig. the guitar was bought for slash by his manager in late 1986 for recording of appetite for destruction. the guitar came with seymour duncan alnico 2 pickups and quickly became slash's main studio instrument. another les paul that slash is famous for playing with is his 1987 les paul standard which has been used on countless tours. marshall afd100 after almost 8 months of research and development, slash and marshall have tweaked the afd100 enough to be the most accurate reproduction of the original amp that slash used to record the guns n' roses album, appetite for destruction. the afd100 was limited to 2,300 pieces worldwide (2,300 because when it cames out, it's been 23 years since the appetite for destruction album). marshall also produced 100 pieces of a special collectors edition hand signed by slash himself. guns n' roses slash met steven adler in los angeles when he was 15, and they both decided to form road crew. meanwhile, axl rose and izzy stradlin got together to play in several bands. they hired duff mckagan, who came back from seattle, to give their first concert as guns n' roses in april 11th 1985 in anaheim, california. slash and steven adler joined the band the following month and, after rageous openings for l.a. guns, poison or faster pussycat, guns n' roses drew the attention of geffen records who signed them on march 26th 1986 for the recording of seven albums. slash tribute the xperience is a slash cover band with an open unlimited line-up. sharing audio tracks over the web without meeting each other, musicians record and gather songs originally performed by slash with guns n' roses, velvet revolver, snakepit and friends. by the spring of 2012, almost 40 songs came out and more than 25 musicians took part in the xperience. those guys never met to put up all these tunes down, but they sure rocked the house with this slash tribute. reunion tour we all were pretty positive that that would never happen, so it's still sort of blowing our minds.
